West District redefines connected urban living

West District is the last, best, master-planned urban community inside Calgary’s ring road, according to Oliver Trutina, vice-president of Truman.
The ambitious and innovative infill community at 85 St. S.W. and Old Banff Coach Road is all about walkable year-round connected living with a fresh focus on architecture and design, says Trutina.
“It’s a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood with a fresh perspective that will redefine urban living and working,” he says. “West District is in the West Springs/Cougar Ridge area that’s already established with some of Calgary’s best schools, best restaurants and shopping.
“It’s not hurry-up-and-move-in, then wait for another 10 years of construction. Everything is there, like Westside Rec Centre or Winsport Canada Olympic Park. You’re already enjoying life and you’re only one traffic light away from escaping to the mountains and a quick 15-minute drive to downtown.”
Truman, as exclusive builder in West District, has two multi-family projects underway. Gateway features concrete and steel construction and has three options, including single-level condos from the low $300,000s, split-level skytowns from the $900,000s and elegant brownstones from the low $700,000s.
Wilshire is an enclave of 34 uniquely customizable townhomes priced from $475,900.
Single-family estate homes with Truman’s superior fit and finish are coming soon, priced from $1.4 million.
The nucleus of West District is a 3.64-hectare (9-acre) Central Park with an amenity building, reflecting ponds and wetland area, an attractive public space that will engage citizens from all over Calgary.
